Welcome to the backroads. By landing here, reading, clicking, or pinning a spot, you’re agreeing to play by these rules. They’re written for humans, not lawyers, but they still bind. Last updated November 2025.

Use of the Site
You’re free to roam the maps, soak up the words, and download what’s marked free. Share links, screenshot routes, print for your backpack, all good. Don’t scrape the site, don’t republish whole pages as your own, don’t try to sell our free stuff. Personal, non-commercial use is the deal. If you’re a guide or blogger, give credit with a link back; we’ll do the same if we borrow from you.

User Content
Drop a comment, upload a photo, suggest a pin, that’s your content. You keep ownership, but you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to display, tweak, and share it on the site or social channels. Keep it clean, no hate, no spam, no stolen shots. We can remove anything that smells off, no warning needed. If someone claims your upload steps on their rights, you handle the fallout.

Intellectual Property
Everything we built, text, maps, photos, code, is ours. You can’t reverse-engineer the interactive layers, copy the design, or pretend it’s yours. Trademarks, logos, the name TOTOAS, all locked down. Want to collaborate or license something? Talk to us first.

Accuracy and Safety
We chase the truth with boots and satellite, but trails shift, gates lock, radiation fluctuates. Information is as current as our last visit, no guarantees. You’re responsible for checking local laws, permits, weather, and your own limits before heading out. We’re not liable if a path floods, a guard turns you back, or you twist an ankle on loose scree. Travel smart, pack water, tell someone where you’re going.

Purchases and Payments
When money’s involved, prints, digital packs, premium layers, the deal’s final once the file downloads or the package ships. Refunds follow the separate policy linked in the footer. Prices include taxes where we’re forced to collect; currency converts at checkout. Failed payments get one retry, then the order cancels.

Account Responsibilities
Sign up for alerts or saved routes, keep your password secret. One account per person, no sharing logins. If we spot bots or abuse, we shut it down. You’re on the hook for anything done under your name.

Limitation of Liability
We run a tight ship, but tech fails, typos happen, storms close roads. To the fullest extent the law allows, we’re not responsible for indirect damages, lost adventures, or missed flights. Total liability caps at what you paid us in the last year, if anything. Some places don’t allow these caps; there, they don’t apply.

Termination
Break the rules, we can cut access without refund or notice. You can walk away anytime, just stop visiting. Some clauses, like ownership and liability, survive the goodbye.

Governing Law
Massachusetts rules apply, no conflicts. Disputes head to Boston courts, unless we both agree to coffee and compromise first.

Changes to Terms
We’ll update this page if the ground shifts. Continued use after changes means you’re in. Big revisions get a banner or email blast.
